Sarah Palin Too Controlled by McCain Advisors

John McCain's advisors must be scared. They still won't allow Sarah Palin to stand before the media at a news conference to answer questions: about Troopergate, the bridge to nowhere controversy, separation of church and state, and yes, those silly doctrines. You know, Straight Talk Express style.

Instead, they are trying to protect her with carefully selected sitdowns with Charlie Gibson, Katie Couric and Sean Hannity of Fox News. Gibson was tough and we can expect the same from Katie Couric. However, the Hannity interview will likely be a puff piece carefully crafted with the McCain campaign.

There's got to be a disconnect with voters when the top of the ticket supposedly promotes transparency , town hall discussions, and a Straight Talk Express while the bottom of the ticket can't face more than one reporter at a time.

That keeps Americans increasingly in the dark about her background, sort of like an Alaska winter when there is less real light shed on the landscape.
